Multiple Teams · Riverside Invitational Provides Youngsters a Chance to Shine

Homecoming week always brings about a whole new level of insanity. With princes, princesses, parades, and carnivals happening throughout the morning, well over half of our Juniors and Seniors were not in attendance at this meet…which means that our freshmen and sophomore runners had a chance to spend some time in the spotlight.

Girls Team:

Our frosh-soph girls put on a heck of a show in taking home the team trophy–even without _DSC0801the services of two girls who normally run varsity–by placing four runners in the top 12. In the Varsity girls race, Helena Valdez (11) was our lone representative and ran a season PR to finish with our top girls time of the day.

Other Top Girl Finishers: Elena Umana (10), Kalista Tibbels (9), Alexis McPhail (9), and Lauren Vigrass (10).

Boys Team:

Led by freshman Isaac Umana and Ethan McDonald (10), our frosh-soph boys turned in a who_DSC0790pping 7 PRs in a 6th place team effort. Not to be outdone, our upperclassmen boys also reported PRs from half of the group.

Other Top Boy Performers: Nick Valencia (11), Nick Ayala (11), Bryce McManigal (12), Nicandro Rosas (9), Jackson Standerfer (9), CJ Valenzuela (10), Brian Johnson (10), Conner Clark (10), Nolan Hays (10), and Jacob Bartlebaugh (9).
